Empowering Young Disciples: A Fruitful Partnership with Calvary Chapel Yumbe

We are truly blessed to have partnered with Calvary Chapel Yumbe during the month of May 2023 in a life-impacting mission to equip and inspire those called to minister to children. This partnership marked a significant step in strengthening the spiritual foundation of the next generation in Yumbe, Uganda.

Our journey began with a focused Sunday School Teachers Training, where we trained several dedicated teachers in the most effective and engaging methods of teaching children. The goal was not merely to teach lessons but to plant seeds of life transformation through Christ Jesus. We explored creative ways to communicate God’s Word, shared interactive teaching techniques, and emphasized the importance of building strong, Christ-centered relationships with children.

The enthusiasm and commitment shown by the Sunday School teachers were deeply encouraging. Many expressed how the training opened their eyes to new perspectives and gave them practical tools to bring the Gospel alive in their classrooms. It was a joy to see their passion reignited and their hearts renewed for this important calling.

Following the training, we had the incredible opportunity to facilitate a Vacation Bible School (VBS). The VBS was a vibrant celebration of faith, filled with worship, storytelling, games, crafts, and Scripture-based activities that helped children understand God’s love in a personal way. The joy and energy among the children were contagious—they sang, danced, and eagerly engaged with every activity. Most importantly, many children made commitments to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

The entire mission was crowned with a beautiful group photo, capturing the unity and joy shared among all the Sunday School teachers and children we had the honor to minister to. It was a powerful reminder that the Kingdom of God is truly being built—one child, one teacher, one heart at a time.

We thank God for the partnership with Calvary Chapel Yumbe and for the lives touched during this mission. May this be just the beginning of greater works to come in Yumbe and beyond, as we continue to invest in the spiritual growth of children and those who guide them.

To God be all the glory!
